Here are the words used in the Meaningful Words Course so far.
Session 1 – Sunday, May 30, 2021
a box of hot French fries: 一盒热炸薯条 yī hé rè zhà shǔ tiáo
a bag of cold French fries: 一袋冷炸薯条 yī dài lěng zhà shǔ tiáo
a bag of frozen French fries: 一袋冷冻炸薯条 yī dài lěngdòng zhà shǔ tiáo
on: 在…上 zài…shàng
in: 在…里 zài…lǐmiàn
under: 在…下面 zài…xiàmiàn
Ways to refer to the teacher:
- Miss Anne (common in U.S. settings with small children)
- Ms. Giles (required in most U.S. schools)
- Ānnī Lǎoshī 安妮老师
Prior to the demo session, the teacher used some of these words and phrases in her WeChat messages: “early morning,” “backyard,” “garden,” and “lettuce.”
