A Woman's Life Work
What: What’s on Your Plate? A Dinner and Gathering

When: Friday, February 6, 2015, 5:30 PM – 7:30 PM

WhereAnne’s Place – Directions

Program:

“A full plate” is a metaphor used to describe life as a feast. We’ve been served bountiful helpings of good work, good families, good friends, good relationships.

What's on your plate?Increasingly, however, women are finding themselves with their “life plates” too full. How did that nice feast turn into piles of more-than-you-can-eat buffet servings? Oh, my, it’s spilling over! How can I keep wiping up the drips? Wait, did I serve myself that – or did someone serve that to me? And how did that unsavory side dish get there?!

Anne will facilitate an activity that will help us pause for a moment and take a look at what is on our “life plates.” Once we know what’s there, we can consider making some conscious choices about what we might do about those over-full plates.

All materials will be provided!

Please bring a dish to share of something you would like on your food plate. We’ll enjoy savoring each other’s choices.

We’ll have coffee and tea, filtered water from the tap, and a potluck of “choice” foods. If you have special food needs, feel free to bring food servings for yourself so that you can feel comfortable.

What to bring:

  • Yourself.
  • A dish to share. (Only if you would like to! I am not a cook and would feel like my plate just got heaped higher with this “requirement” to attend. Please know it is not a requirement! If no one brings anything, we’ll order a pizza. We’ll be okay!)
  • Personal food or beverages if you would like.

What to do:

Email Anne Giles at anne@annegiles.com or call her at 540-808-6334 to reserve a space. Reservations are on a first-come, first-served basis. Attendance is limited to 14 participants.
