Appointments and Fees

Services are offered on a direct-pay basis through online payment. Insurance is not accepted.

Appointments for telehealth sessions for Virginia residents are offered at mutually convenient times.

Appointments for in-person sessions are available on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday afternoons. Appointments for group sessions are available on Monday and Sunday afternoons.

Fees

  • 75-minute initial session for individuals, and for those wishing to be enrolled in group, available in-person and via telehealth: $175
    – Clients are asked to consider completing these items prior to the initial session.
  • 50-minute subsequent individual sessions, in-person and telehealth: $125
  • 50-minute conjoint sessions for couples/partners, families, or more than one individual present: $150
  • 60-minute to 90-minute weekly group therapy sessions, $50 per session*

  • Text support, 2 responses per day, 7 days per week, $70 per week
  • For those beginning to address substance use issues who need generous support, weekly modules of substance use disorder treatment include 3 sessions of individual counseling, 1 session of skills-focused group counseling, 1 week of text support (up to 2 responses per day, 7 days per week), and a small contingency management fund. Initial appointment and primary care physician visit required before commencing: $515 per week

Nota bene

  • Counseling services are offered on a direct-pay basis. Insurance is not accepted. However, clients can elect to contact their insurance companies to personally file a claim. This may help with reimbursement.
  • Counseling services are offered in-person and via telehealth. Telehealth services are available to Virginia residents only.
  • Non-Virginia residents who wish to engage in counseling services must schedule and attend in-person sessions in my Blacksburg, Virginia office.
  • *An initial individual session is required prior to entering group.
  • Clients must register first through the client portal in order to make appointments.
  • Credit card information is collected at the time clients register. Sessions are billed on the day of service.  (For your electronic health record, we use HIPAA-compliant SimplePractice. Read more about SimplePractice’s security here.)
  • Cancellations in fewer than 24 hours and no-shows are billed to your credit card at the full rate. For more about this policy, please see the FAQs.
