Appointments

Counseling services are offered on a direct-pay basis through online payment only. Insurance is not accepted.

Group sessions begin Sunday, October 7, 2018. An initial appointment is required prior to being enrolled in group. (If I have worked with you in other contexts, an initial appointment may not be needed. Please contact me to discuss.)

  • Group meets each week for 90 minutes on Sundays, 3:00 – 4:30 PM EST/EDT.

Telehealth sessions for Virginia residents are offered at mutually convenient times.

Fees

  • 75-minute initial session for individuals, couples/partners, families, and those wishing to be enrolled in group, in-person and telehealth: $175
    – Our EHR software, SimplePractice, terms an initial session “Service: Psychiatric Diagnostic Evaluation (90791).”
    – Clients are asked to consider completing these items prior to the initial session.
  • 50-minute subsequent individual sessions, in-person and telehealth: $125
  • 50-minute subsequent sessions for couples/partners, families, or more than one individual present: $150
  • 90-minute weekly group therapy session, $50 per session*

  • Individualized substance use disorder treatment plan, counseling, and on-going support, in-person or via telehealth. Please email me, indicate your needs, and I will provide a quote.

Nota bene

  • Counseling services are offered on a direct-pay basis. Insurance is not accepted. However, clients can elect to contact their insurance companies to personally file a claim. This may help with reimbursement.
  • Counseling services are offered in-person and via telehealth. Telehealth services are available to Virginia residents only.
  • Non-Virginia residents who wish to engage in counseling services must schedule and attend in-person sessions in my Blacksburg, Virginia office.
  • *An initial individual session is required prior to entering group.
  • Appointments are made via self-service and can be scheduled 24 hours a day.
  • Clients must register first through the client portal in order to make appointments.
  • Credit card information is collected at the time clients register. Sessions are billed automatically on the day of service.  (For your electronic health record, we use HIPAA-compliant SimplePractice. Read more about SimplePractice’s security here.)
  • Cancellations in fewer than 24 hours and no-shows are billed to your credit card at the full rate. For more about this policy, please see the FAQs.
